MANHATTAN SHORT es más que uno de los festivales de cortometrajes más grandes del mundo: es el primer festival de cine mundial.

An international film festival held in Birmingham, England, showcasing and recognising talent on a world stage.

It will run though November and include features, shorts, documentaries and music videos on our main theatre screen, as well support events with special guests.

All filmmakers who's work is being shown will 3 tickets for the screening of their own film.

Distributors, producers and press from all over the world will be on hand to view the films screened and there will be the chance to network with them at the festival too. Many of the industry’s top companies and film schools will also be in attendance offering advice on education and career opportunities.

Other events and networking opportunities will be announced closer to the date. These will include seminars, Q&As, conventions and memorabilia expos.

There will be a high calibre panel of special guest judges, from various areas of the industry, who will review the nominees’ entries and select the winners at the festival’s closing event. The award ceremony will be held at a high-profile venue in the city and be an open ticket event.

Angeles Documentaries is an international festival that celebrates one of the most difficult genre to produce : documentaries.

Documentaries request high level quality writing, an exceptional production coordination, and a smart budget management.

WHY THIS FESTIVAL ?

This festival is to be focused on this type of films. You will have specific recognition for the documentary you made, in a festival dedicated to documentaries.

Why is this so important ? Because sometimes, documentaries are just another category in some film festivals. We think documentaries deserve more attention, and we want to contribute giving it to them.

WHAT WILL BE OUR SELECTION ?

We will only select and screen short documentaries, not over 15 or 20 minutes maximum. If you made a full feature documentary, we will not be able to select it yet, but maybe in the years to come.

We are seeking for original documentaries, that can explore the world for us, bring some issues and analysis to the table, whether you shot it with a DSLR or a top 4K+ camera.

We accept all themes and langage. If not english speaking we require english subtitles.

A selection of the winners will screen on 2018, May 4th, in Los Angeles. The award give away will take place at the same time, on the evening.

El Festival Internacional de Cine de Medellín (FestMedallo) celebrará su 2° Edición entre los días 15 al 18 de Febrero del 2017 en Medellín, Colombia. Este festival tiene como misión ser un espacio para la proyección y difusión de películas de todo el mundo; y, es una plataforma para que patrocinantes de la industria cinematografía mundial seleccionen proyectos y directores para financiarlos. En su primera edición resultaron elegidos 5 proyectos para ser financiados completamente por la empresa privada. Además, el Festmedallo es una vitrina donde se dan cita personalidades del cine latinoamericano. Para la segunda edición contamos con 6 sedes donde se proyectarán las películas seleccionadas y esperamos tener una audiencia de 7 mil espectadores.

The Music Video Underground is a monthly and annual worldwide competition for music videos, dance films, animated music videos, and other special stuff made music and video.
The festival is currently accepting submissions for its 13th edition (October 2017), and got hundreds of amazing artists to line up, including Adèle, Vanessa Paradis and Macy Gray.

The September edition is accepting entries (@12th edition) starting September 1st.

The next annual event and screening will take place in Los Angeles, on May 4th, 2018.

El festival muestra largometrajes de ficción, largometrajes documentales, cortos de ficción, cortos documentales, y videos musicales, así como películas experimentales y de animación, en competencia y fuera de competencia. El evento es completado por repertorio y presentaciones especiales. La 22a edición del Cine Las Americas International Film Festival (CLAIFF22) se llevó a cabo del 1 al 5 de mayo de 2019 en Austin, Texas. Con más de 3,000 miembros de la audiencia presentes para muestras y eventos, el festival mostró 114 obras. La selección de películas del CLAIFF22 representó la participación de 25 países en producción o co-producción de las películas; incluyendo Alemania, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brasil, Canadá, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, España, Estados Unidos, Francia, Jordán, Katar, México, los Países Bajos, Perú, Portugal, Reino Unido, República Árabe Siria, República Dominicana, Uruguay y Venezuela.

The International Film Festival of the Caribbean Sea will celebrate its 2nd Edition from 10 to 15 January 2017 on the island of Margarita, Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. It is a festival to screen films of the world-wide cinematography, largometrajes and shorts, as well as video-clips.

El Festival Internacional de Cine del Mar Caribe celebrará su 2° Edición entre los días 10 al 15 de Enero de 2017 en la Isla de Margarita, Estado de Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. Es un festival para proyectar películas de la cinematografía mundial, largometrajes y cortometrajes, así como video-clips.

El Festival Internacional de Cine de Addis (AIFF) es un festival de cine anual creado por Initiative Africa en 2007 y que se celebra en Addis Abeba, Etiopía. El festival es el mayor festival de cine documental independiente de África y se creó como una iniciativa única que buscaba utilizar el poder de los documentales para apoyar formas innovadoras de crear conciencia sobre cuestiones sociales.

El festival es un evento educativo y de celebración que presenta una selección cuidadosamente seleccionada de películas de cineastas experimentados y emergentes que abordan una amplia gama de temas, como la construcción de la paz, la desigualdad, el empoderamiento de las mujeres, los derechos de los niños y mucho más.


La 18ª edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Addis (AIFF). Como activista social establecida en Etiopía, Initiative Africa organizará un festival de cine documental de cinco días, del 15 al 19 de mayo de 2024, con más de 30 películas locales e internacionales, bajo los temas de Acción por la paz, la seguridad y la reconciliación, la igualdad de género y la inclusión, la seguridad alimentaria y ambiental y la atención médica, que tendrá lugar en la Alianza Ethio-Française, el Teatro Hager Fikir, el Goethe-Institut Äthiopien e Italian Instituto cultural de Addis Abeba.

Los concursantes están convocados para participar en la parte competitiva del festival de cine de animación Neum 2024. La fecha límite es hasta el 1 de abril de 2024. El Festival de Cine de Animación de Neum tendrá lugar del 30 de agosto al 3 de septiembre de 2024 en Neum

Podrán participar películas de animación (15 minutos de duración). El autor puede reportar 3 películas. Festival organizado por la asociación RStyle,
y que se celebrará en París, que tendrá lugar del 7 al 10 de octubre de 2021, la asociación lanza su convocatoria hasta el 30 de junio de 2021.

¿Qué es la película urbana? :» Películas dedicadas a la ciudad y a todas las prácticas y formas de vida que se derivan de ella. A través del cine urbano, las historias verdaderas, ya sean sombrías o divertidas, encuentran su denominador común en su paisaje: la calle, de Seúl a Río, y pasando por Seattle o Uagadugú. Las películas urbanas redescubren la ciudad en un sentido amplio: la historia, la danza, el movimiento, la comunidad, las culturas de las calles, los deportes, todos los aspectos de la ciudad y las culturas urbanas están representadas».

ACME Comedy Theatre was founded in 1989 as a place for comedians to perform and be discovered. Since then, ACME has helped launch the career of hundreds of comedy writers, directors, producers, and actors.

Today, ACME continues to be a place for comedy performers and writers to be discovered. These days though, new talent is more often discovered through online videos, so ACME developed a new screening series. The screening series is dedicated to bringing the upcoming stars of comedy video to the big screen via ACME Comedy’s own film festival.

Kan-Kan Media is pleased to announce the second edition of “A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” Shanghai.

“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” is a unique film event that aims to bring together Chinese film and art institutions, film professionals, students and audience in Shanghai and create a platform to exchange and promote the diversity of the world cinema. During 10 days the festival will present more than 200 short films selected from more than 60 countries around the world.

“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS” Festival is the result of the collaboration between Kan-Kan Media and Chinese art and film institutions like Minsheng Museum of Contemporary Arts in Shanghai (official host of the Festival) and Shanghai Film Art Academy. It arises from the need to create a platform for a dialogue and exchange between film professionals, students, film communities and audiences taking as a reference point Shanghai/China.

The previous edition of LWSF was a huge success with more than 2000 submissions, 200 films selected and 10 days of film screenings, workshops, talks, music concerts and dance performances attended by 1000+ film-lovers, among them film professionals, students, film communities and artists of other disciplines.

This year the focus will be on the discovery of emerging talents both internationally and in China in order to bring them into the public spotlight and offer them the opportunities for networking and a platform where ideas and work can be exchanged among a new generation of film creators worldwide.

The festival has two main categories: International Section and Chinese Section, accompanied by showcases of outstanding festivals from various countries, as well as workshops, master-classes and other special events.

All the films meeting the submission criteria will be considered for the International Short Film Competition Award for Best Short Film, Best Director, Audience and Outstanding Story Award.

Shorts@Fringe is a showcase of short films at the Azores Fringe Festival, an international arts festival in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Program will happen in various islands from indoor to outdoor venues giving the opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work in the Azores and also for audiences that otherwise would not have a chance to see this type of work. Women in Film
Women play an important role in filmmaking and there are many talents out there and to celebrate Women in Film we have two categories. One programme is a focus solely on Women directors, the second programme category will focus the work of women practitioners in the roles of writers, actresses, producers and Directors of Cinematography but please note the film lead roles must be female led. If you have a film that has a strong female led role or strong female writer etc and you want to be considered for this sectin of the festival please submit to the Women Practitioners category. Film Directors should submit to the Women in Film (directors category).

General Information.
Established in 1995 the festival is now in it's 16th International Shorts edition. Kinofilm has a unique reputation for showcasing the best short films from around the world, whilst being renowned for seeking out diverse, challenging and groundbreaking new films. We welcome filmmakers that are pushing the boundaries of the short film art form. The festival maintains a high standard with many European & International award-winning shorts featured in the Festival. It includes special programmes in North West Shorts (UK), British New Wave, Euro Cine, International Panorama, Kino Exposed (student and youth shorts), low/no budget shorts, Animation and various themed programmes, giving new and emerging filmmakers the opportunity to have their work screened alongside that of critically acclaimed, established short filmmakers.

Please note for 2019, the festival will move dates to February 2020. We will further welcome short films and animations from Eastern Europe as we extend the Polish festival to include more Baltic countries. This year we welcome films for this section from Romania and Russia.

As part of out 16th anniversary we are introducing a features section called Transitions for those short filmmakers that have successfully made the transition from short film to feature. This section is for previous entrants of Kinofilm Festival and can only be entered if you have previously had a short film at Kinofilm Festival. You must provide the name of the short film and year of the festival it was screened in advance of submitting..

All short films should have been completed since January 2018 to present and be no longer than 20 mins (accept documentaries which can be up to 23 mins including credits). PLEASE NOTE FILMS SHOULD NOT BE ONLINE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ANY FILMS THAT ARE SEEN TO BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN WILL FACE DISQUALIFICATION.

The discount is automatically applied when you submit your film to the relevant sections, entry fees start at just $10.00 Please note PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY MUST BE SHOWN in all these categories in advance of submitting the film, you will then receive a code to submit your film.

IRANIAN Filmmakers can submit for free (see above details).

Please note, if your film is selected for screening in one of the cinema screenings you must be able to provide either a DCP or high-quality Bluray of your film. Please contact us if any issues with this and we will try to resolve it by showing the film in one of the other programmes not requiring either of these formats. If it playing in one of our other venues then we will require a digital version, details supplied if your film is accepted.

REFUNDS GIVEN ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES: Please note if you make a genuine mistake and submit your film to us not realising that it does not fit all of the criteria, or you have to withdraw it for other reasons, we will refund your fee if the request is made only within the first two weeks from the date of submission. Films withdrawn later for other reasons such as you wish to withdraw it as your film has been accepted in another festival that requires premier status, will not receive a refund. (Please note that any refunds will be after FFW (8%) and PP (3.5%) commission fees already deducted from your fee, you will only be refunded the net amount that the festival receives).

Aims of the Festival:

1. To deliver a film festival of regional, national and international significance.

2. To nurture new talent and support the work of culturally diverse, emerging filmmakers.

3. To attract an industry base of filmmakers and media industry professionals, to encourage the exchange of ideas and development of partnerships.

4. To attract cinema goers and diverse audiences that would not normally experience the short film art form or film festivals.

5. To focus on the needs of the regions filmmakers, visiting filmmakers and the region’s audiences.
