El 9º Festival Nacional de Cine de Estudiantes Secundarios (FESCIES), tiene como objetivos desarrollar el interés cinematográfico y la formación de audiencias, fomentando un publico crítico de lo que observa y propositivo frente a lo que lo rodea. A su vez, busca generar un espacio para la creación, exhibición y difusión de las obras audiovisuales de los estudiantes secundarios del país.

El Festival Internacional de Cine y las Artes Indígenas en Wallmapu, FicWallmapu propone ser un espacio para fomentar el diálogo intercultural, que constituye un proceso social relevante para el territorio y un aporte a las relaciones entre pueblos y naciones, convocando a realizadores/as indígenas y no indígenas de Chile, Latinoamérica y el mundo, en torno al desarrollo y producción del cine y las artes con temática de los pueblos ancestrales.
La octava edición con foco temático en las juventudes de los pueblos indígenas, (no excluyentes a otras categorías) se celebrará desde el 14 al 18 de noviembre de 2023 en Temuco, Chile.

We will open our festivities with live readings, then segue into short screenings and feature film screenings, culminating in a filmmaker Q&A, awards ceremony and afterparty (location to be announced).

About The Venue

The Secret Theatre is a custom built theatre and rehearsal rooms facility in the heart of LIC’s artist’s quarter. Resident Company The Queens Players and visiting NY theatre companies can comfortably seat 99 people and the space has a flexibility which allows us to produce shows either as thrust, proscenium, transverse or other styles of theatre. There are three separate clean restrooms, a box office, a gallery/foyer, and a dressing room for the artistes. Our second performance and rehearsal room POCO Space also has two dedicated restrooms and is suitable for small and workshop style shows and rehearsals.

* Founded by Joe Hodge, celebrity cinematographer and winner of the 2011 Rhode Island International Screenplay Competition and the 2011 American International Screenplay Competition.

Joe launched a successful Kickstarter campaign for Departed Harvest with the actor Luis Guzman (Anger Management, Boogie Nights).

El OBSERVATORIO DE CINE DE CINALFAMA, que se celebra en un barrio histórico, surge como una iniciativa cultural transformadora que fortalece la red comunitaria. Al proyectar películas independientes, el proyecto no solo amplía el acceso a narrativas alternativas e innovadoras, sino que también estimula el compromiso cultural entre los residentes, fomentando un sentido de identidad y pertenencia.

Este evento habitual, que tiene lugar en el Auditorio del Museu do Fado, se convierte en un punto de encuentro donde generaciones se cruzan y comparten experiencias y reflexiones que van más allá de la mera visualización de películas. Además, al estar ubicado en un barrio con un rico patrimonio histórico, el observatorio revitaliza el espacio urbano, atrae visitantes y mejora la valoración del patrimonio local, generando una dinámica cultural muy positiva

El Observatorio Cinematográfico de Cinalfama es un certamen cinematográfico habitual en enero, abril y octubre.

Las películas ganadoras de cada una de las tres ediciones (enero, abril y octubre) se exhibirán en nuestro evento anual de cine al aire libre, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Lisboa Cinalfama.

Dock of the Bay, es un festival centrado en la difusión de películas de no ficción que aborden el amplio mundo de la música en sus diferentes aspectos temáticos y formales.

El Festival Dock of the Bay, se celebrará en Donostia San Sebastián del 3 al 8 de junio de 2024.

TIFA, Toronto Independent Film Awards Inc. (anteriormente conocida como Toronto International Film and Video Awards Inc. TIFVA) se dedica a premiar y exhibir las mejores películas independientes de todo el mundo.

TIFA fue iniciada por cineastas independientes que entienden el proceso de presentación de candidaturas a festivales y los desafíos a los que se enfrentan cuando intentan obtener el reconocimiento por su trabajo por parte de profesionales de la industria. Por eso TIFA ofrece tanto: queremos apoyar a cineastas y escritores de cualquier forma que podamos.

En TIFA creemos que se debe dar a todos las mismas oportunidades para expresar sus talentos en el cine. Por este motivo, TIFA proyecta y premia películas y guiones de todos los países, en todos los géneros y una serie de presupuestos independientes.

Para ayudar a nivelar el terreno de juego, aceptamos largometrajes en cuatro subcategorías según el presupuesto del proyecto, por lo que las películas no compiten contra otras realizadas con presupuestos superiores. También destacamos categorías que a menudo se pasan por alto, como películas experimentales, series web, animaciones, vídeos musicales y películas infantiles.

TIFA es un firme partidario de la diversidad en el cine. Todo el mundo tiene una historia que contar y promover la diversidad en la industria solo puede mejorarla. Este año TIFA ha recibido inscripciones de más de 40 países a medida que seguimos ampliando nuestro alcance año tras año.

Con sede en el DETOUR Arthouse Cinema, en el centro de Roma desde 2010, ON THE ROAD FILM FESTIVAL se dedica al cine independiente contemporáneo - ficción, documental y experimental - presentando viajes, paseos urbanos y desérticos, topografías reales o imaginarias, desvíos inesperados, psicogeográficos la deriva, la migración y el nomadismo.

Buscamos películas que desarrollen, a través de habilidades lingüísticas y narrativas, un enfoque crítico e inventivo de las orientaciones temáticas del Festival: un ambiente de viaje con digresiones de caminos fijos, donde la ruta es lo que importa, no el destino.

El Festival acoge proyecciones, clases magistrales, reuniones, exposiciones de arte, actuaciones en vivo y música, tanto en el cine DETOUR como en una variedad de salas de cine, clubes de cine, escuelas, bibliotecas públicas y otros lugares inusuales de Roma y sus alrededores.

El concurso OTRFF consta de dos secciones: THE ROAD (largometrajes y medio-largometrajes =>30') y SHORT>CORTS (cortometrajes <30')

Baja CineFest is an online international film festival aimed to inspire, motivate and award filmmakers from across the globe. Each year we will honor the best films in various competition categories and we will give recognition and highlight the best talented people in front and behind the camera.

Baja CineFest is proud to accept all kind of films and genres, even the films that have been overlooked by larger festivals. We want commercial films, underground films, experimental films, comedic films, etc. We got professional judges for every taste, three professional filmmakers and three professional screenwriters.

Films will not be physically screened for the public. Once the Official Jury has concluded the judging process, winners and awards will be announced publicly on our website.

MONO NO AWARE is the annual exhibition of expanded cinema showcasing sculpture, installation, single-multiple channel durational projection, and performance art that incorporates the moving image on Super 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, or as an altered light projection. (No DV)
In 2015, the ninth annual MONO NO AWARE exhibition was mentioned in the New York Times and presented the work of 33 international artists to an audience of 900. This year's festival and screening will be part of MONO NO AWARE's tenth annual festival, which includes screenings of works curated from artists around the world.
Submission is sliding scale by donation ($0-20 - pay what you wish) which allows MONO NO AWARE to provide travel stipends and lodging to presenting artists.

The festival is organized by the non-profit cinema-arts organization MONO NO AWARE.

MONO NO AWARE offers year-round analog filmmaking workshops to the community teaching: Super 8mm, 16mm filmmaking, 2-D animation and 3-D puppet animation, Production for Independent Film, Hand-processing, Alternative-processing and Non-toxic-processing Techniques, Film Preservation, Handmade Emulsion, Advanced Super 16mm filmmaking, a range of special workshops led by visiting filmmakers and more. As an extension of the educational initiatives, the organization rents analogue filmmaking equipment, makes Steenbeck flat-bed editing and JK or Oxberry optical printing facilities available to the public and we also import/distribute Color and Black and White film stocks. Through our outreach program we present these same workshops at numerous universities, film festivals, and institutions throughout the US. This year we have presented workshops at The Japan Society (Manhattan, NY) The Oak Cliff Film Festival (Dallas, TX) The Queens Museum (Queens, NY) and this August we’ll travel to the Thomas Edison National Park to conduct a re-imagining kinetoscopes workshop inside the historic Black Maria (West Orange, NJ). MONO NO AWARE presents a monthly screening series entitled CONNECTIVITY THROUGH CINEMA with visiting filmmakers and most recently a co-presentation of a three-day retrospective ‘Super 8 Poetics’ the works of Stephanie Gray at The Anthology Film Archives. We’ve also started a reference library with a focus on cinema history, theory and technical filmmaking texts and publications.
