The Cardiff Independent Film Festival will be held over the 5th to 7th May 2017 in Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff. This will be our third festival, following highly successful events beginning in 2014. We're a fun, friendly and open festival run by film-lovers that celebrates the best in independent cinema and adheres to the highest ethical standards.

We're non-profit, which means ALL of the submission fees go into the running of the festival. And we are truly independent - we don't take public or corporate money so the films we pick are our favourites.

We also attract big-name guests: CIFF2015 saw talks by Stephen Frears and Paul Andrew Williams and the great John Boorman present the Welsh premiere of his final feature Queen and Country. We may be small but we punch above our weight.

We will be screening five feature films, ten short films and five short animations in competition and there will be out-of-competition screenings for other films of significant merit.

Launched in January 2009, Jaipur International Film Festival -JIFF became expanding establishing name in organizing world film festival every year in Rajasthan.

The purpose of this film festival is to promote new movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas & culture between India & other nations in context of their social and cultural ethos. JIFF also promotes friendship and co-operation among people of the world through the medium of films & documentaries.

Though the film festivals have became a regular affair in most countries yet most of them cater only to selected audience as well as entertain the commercially successful film makers and related personalities. However, JIFF intends to organize a festival that connects the film fans & movie goers with the world, especially the serious filmmakers & their associates so as to bring about greater understanding of the art of film making.

The Seventeenth JIFF 2025 received 2408 films from 88+ countries and 241 films nominated for screening.

The Sixteenth JIFF 2024 received 2971 films from 82+ countries and 329 films nominated for screening.

The Fifteenth JIFF 2023 received 2205 films from 63+ countries and 282 films nominated for screening.

IMAGINARIA ist das erste und einzige internationale Animationsfilmfestival der Region Apulien.

In seiner Geschichte ist Imaginaria enorm gewachsen und hat eine wichtige künstlerische und gesellschaftliche Position im internationalen Festivalsektor erworben.

Festival der „Menschen und Orte“, Imaginaria schafft es, eine familiäre Atmosphäre unter der Öffentlichkeit und Profis, die in Open-Air-Kinos von Conversano kommen zu schaffen. Imaginaria, die durch die Bedeutung von „Zahlen“ und die ausgezeichnete Qualität von Tausenden von Werken von internationalem Rang gekennzeichnet ist, ist ein Projekt zur Förderung, Verbreitung, Filmausbildung, das darauf abzielt, die unabhängigen Autoren von Animationsfilmen zu fördern. Imaginaria beabsichtigt, in einer langfristigen Perspektive alle möglichen Synergien in der Gemeinschaft auszulösen, die dazu beitragen, sozioökonomische Chancen in der Region zu schaffen und gleichzeitig die Kultur der Animation zu fördern. Das Festival ist daher ein Projekt, das darauf abzielt, die Nutzung und das Wissen von Animationsfilmen nicht nur während der Veranstaltung zu verbreiten, die jedes Jahr in Conversano stattfindet, sondern auch an Orten und Zeiten des Jahres mit verschiedenen Netzwerken, bestehend aus anderen Festivals und Ausstellungen (national und international), zu denen Imaginaria beteiligt sich oder die es ist der Veranstalter.

Mecal Pro, das Internationale Kurz- und Animationsfilmfestival von Barcelona, feiert seine 28. Ausgabe. Die lange Geschichte von MECAL PRO hat es zu einem der wichtigsten Kurzfilmfestivals in Europa und der Welt gemacht und wird daher von lokalen, nationalen und internationalen Institutionen unterstützt. Im Jahr 2025 haben wir mehr als 300 Kurzfilme in 29 Sektionen gezeigt, die wir programmieren.

Mecal setzt sich nachdrücklich dafür ein, die Ausstellung und Verbreitung von audiovisuellen Kreationen im Kurzformat zu fördern, und zwar nicht nur in der Öffentlichkeit, sondern auch darin, dass sich Schöpfer und Verleiher im Rahmen verschiedener Aktivitäten treffen. Mecal widmet sich auch der Förderung aufstrebender Talente, indem es Veranstaltungen und Preise veranstaltet, die sich speziell an junge Künstler richten. In diesem Sinne fungiert es auch als Netzwerk zur Verbreitung von Kurzfilmen, organisiert Vorführungen auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene und arbeitet mit Festivals, Botschaften und Institutionen auf der ganzen Welt zusammen.

Das 14. Jahr wird Neuzugänge und Wettbewerbe beinhalten! Das International Horror Hotel Film Festival and Convention findet jedes Jahr im Juni im Nordosten von Ohio statt. Wir veranstalten offene Wettbewerbe für Filme und Drehbücher in den folgenden Genres: Experimental (nur Film), Fantasy, Horror, Horrorkomödie, Slasher, Science-Fiction und Suspense-Thriller. Wir akzeptieren auch Trailer, Musikvideos, TV-Piloten (Film oder Drehbuch) und Web-Episoden (Film oder Drehbuch) für Projekte in den aufgeführten Genres.

Der Wettbewerb für die Filmmusik für Horrorfilme ist ebenfalls möglich (Einreichungen über unsere Website). Bei der Veranstaltung veranstalten wir auch Live-Wettbewerbe wie Scream King/Scream Queen und FX Make-up.

In diesem Jahr werden wir auch den zweiten jährlichen Filmwettbewerb Room 237 veranstalten, bei dem Filmemacher darum konkurrieren, innerhalb von 30 Tagen einen Film zu drehen, wobei sie eine Mordwaffe einsetzen, die ihnen während eines Zoom-Auftakttreffens zugewiesen wurde. Weitere Informationen zum Room 237-Filmwettbewerb werden ab Januar 2024 auf der Website des Horror Hotel Film Festival verfügbar sein. Fangen Sie an, Ihr Team aufzubauen und bereiten Sie sich auf den Wettkampf vor!

Die Veranstaltung umfasst vier Tage mit Filmvorführungen, zwei Tage mit Podiumsdiskussionen und Vorträgen, einen Kongress, der am Freitagnachmittag beginnt, besondere Gäste, Networking-Karaoke-Partys, Live-Wettbewerbe und vieles mehr.

We are looking for different genres of films, being live action, animation, stop motion always keeping in mind to entertain young children while giving them something to learn about! There will be 3 awards for this festival and will be attended by many children and their families!

Submissions are open from now till the 30th November, and every one is welcome to submit their work dedicated to children in mind, being Feature films, short films, animation films and why not also experimental if they have something to show to children. There is a fee of 10 Euro to pay through paypal for your submission to be eligible.

Das Internationale Festival für Design und Animation wird von der School of Design der Universität Valparaíso, Chile, organisiert und findet am 11., 12. und 13. November 2025 statt.

Film Front moves frontiers: open call for motion graphics exhibition

Film Front, international short film festival, due to be held from 25th to 28th October in the cultural centre of Novi Sad, has decided to include motion graphics exhibition in this year’s festival’s program. Artists can submit their animations, presentations, animated GIFs, animated elements and other pieces that belong to the category of motion graphics.

Even though motion graphics are rather a fine arts category, they are tightly connected to the moving images art. That is why Film Fronts wants to honour these artworks that more than often do not find their way to the film festivals, but whose aesthetic value overcomes their usually determined functional purpose.
