Il Mirror Mountain Film Festival porta il meglio del cinema indipendente, alternativo e underground nella capitale canadese. Siamo un festival vario e inclusivo che accoglie tutti i tipi di film e tutti i tipi di persone per condividere l'esperienza cinematografica collettiva. La nostra missione è promuovere voci creative uniche e originali della regione di Ottawa-Gatineau e di tutto il mondo. Mirror Mountain presenta film innovativi, rivoluzionari e non convenzionali in un'ampia varietà di generi, tra cui video drammatici, documentari, animati, sperimentali, horror, fantascientifici, fantasy, di danza e musicali. Oltre alle proiezioni di film, il festival offre attività coinvolgenti e orientate alla comunità come spettacoli dal vivo, presentazioni multimediali ibride, mostre interattive, feste, tavole rotonde, sessioni di domande e risposte e altro ancora. I nostri eventi mirano a mettere in contatto i registi sia con il pubblico che tra loro e a sostenere gli artisti attraverso opportunità di sviluppo educativo e professionale.

Perché dovrei iscriversi?

1. Pass gratuito per il festival per tutti i registi che vogliono iscriversi
Tutti coloro che inviano un film a Mirror Mountain, indipendentemente dal fatto che sia selezionato o meno, ricevono un pass gratuito per partecipare all'intero festival.

2. Iscrizione gratuita per i registi locali
I film di qualsiasi lunghezza possono essere inviati gratuitamente se sono stati girati e/o montati entro un raggio di 125 km da Ottawa. Quest'area include Gatineau, Maniwaki, Mont Tremblant, Montebello, Hawkesbury, Cornovaglia, Potsdam, Brockville, Smiths Falls, Perth, Renfrew, Arnprior e altro ancora.

3. iscrizioni gratuite per gli alumni
Se hai diretto un film che è stato ufficialmente selezionato per essere proiettato in una precedente edizione di Mirror Mountain, puoi iscriversi nuovamente gratuitamente.

4. Rimborso i tuoi soldi
Se il tuo film viene ufficialmente selezionato per essere proiettato al festival, ti rimborseremo la quota di iscrizione originale.

5. Meno restrizioni
Non abbiamo requisiti relativi alla data di premiere o di completamento. Il tuo film è comunque idoneo anche se è stato proiettato in precedenza nella regione di Ottawa, è stato distribuito, è stato trasmesso in televisione o è disponibile per la visione online.

6. Paghiamo le tasse degli artisti
Se il tuo film viene ufficialmente selezionato per essere proiettato al festival, riceverai anche una quota d'artista come ringraziamento per averci permesso di proiettare il tuo lavoro.

7. Resta aggiornato
Dopo aver inviato il film, riceverai una notifica dal festival per confermare che abbiamo ricevuto la tua candidatura. Successivamente, riceverai una notifica che ti informerà dei risultati, indipendentemente dal fatto che il tuo film sia stato selezionato o meno.

8. Premi per registi vincitori
I premi vengono assegnati in diverse categorie dopo il completamento del festival. I vincitori del premio ricevono un certificato e una selezione di premi donati dai nostri sponsor.

9. Qualificazioni al Canadian Screen Award
Mirror Mountain è un festival ufficiale che si qualifica per i Canadian Screen Awards, selezionato dall'Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

10. Atmosfera amichevole e alternativa
Come comunità di registi e artisti, ci impegniamo a coltivare un'atmosfera vivace e accogliente in cui creatori e spettatori provenienti da contesti artistici e culturali diversi possano incontrarsi e crescere attraverso il lavoro e la conversazione condivisi.

Nell'ambito delle molteplici attività presentate e organizzate da Andares: Azioni cinematografiche, siamo lieti di presentare la quarta edizione del nostro Festival del cinema contemporaneo. Un'altra edizione breve, attenta e compatta per celebrare la cinefilia nell'autunno peruviano.

Torremolinos International Fantastic Film Festival has become in a few years in one the most important events at Costa del Sol (Spain). Place in the Torremolinos' exhibition and conference centre: theaters with 240 and 460 people capacity. Organized by the Cultural Association "Cinefans", the festival it's now a reference of innovate and transgresive ideas. It starts at Halloween (with its own Halloween night) and it includes galas, shows, horror movies marathons, charitable sessions, guests and honored films for their anniversary.

CineGlobe is the International Film Festival at CERN, the world's largest physics laboratory. Every year, CineGlobe showcases films and VR projects of all genres, inspired by science and technology. In 2018, CineGlobe concentrates on the theme "Intelligent Futures" and accepts films in four categories:

- Fiction, less than 15 minutes
- Documentary, less than 30 minutes
- Youth Films, less than 10 minutes
- VR projects of any length and style

Intelligent Futures:

In our race to handle the information overload of our times, we have created machines that can learn. For now, they can only learn what we teach them - but could the dream of unsupervised learning and real Artificial Intelligence become a reality? And apart from machines, how can we use this mountain of knowledge to learn and be more intelligent ourselves? In 2018, CineGlobe seeks films of all perspectives on our shared and hopefully Intelligent Futures.

l Festival è previsto verso fine Luglio, ospiterà documentari, lungometraggi e cortometraggi contemporanei di registi affermati e di nuove promesse, short-movies e video art. Nell'oculata scelta delle opere si è tenuto conto della rispondenza dei temi trattati alle problematiche più ricorrenti nel rapporto di convivenza e d'integrazione degli immigrati, specie di seconda generazione. La forza delle immagini, dei suoni e dell'azione, col coinvolgimento emotivo ad esse connesso, è il mezzo più incisivo di comunicazione memorabile.

II AUDIOVISUAL CREATIONS COMPETITION
"ZARAGOZA IN SHORT"

Zaragoza, capital city, has been the land of moviegoers, precursors of "cineclub" and enthusiastic growers of independent and amateur cinema. The fact that the first Spanish film to be preserved, Salida de misa de doce del Pilar (1899), was shot in the Plaza de El Pilar by some Zaragoza artists, the Jimeno, started a relationship between the city and the cinema that persists today.

Proof of this special relationship are not only the different festivals and events that take place in Zaragoza, but also the training schools in the audiovisual language or the activities aimed at showing the enjoyment of the seventh art.

In addition, this city, since always, has offered relative indexes of assistance to movie theaters that are among the first in Spain and Europe.

To highlight and reinforce this relationship between the city and the art of image, the City Council convened in 2018 the I Contest of audiovisual creations ZARAGOZA EN CORTO for audiovisual creations. Given the success of the first edition, Zaragoza City Council is committed to the continuity of this festival by organizing its II Audiovisual Creation Contest "ZARAGOZA EN CORTO" in the spring of 2019.

The contest is aimed at all those who show their particular vision of their surroundings, the richness of their architecture, their heritage, their anthropology, their culture, their linguistic diversity and their population, and that are linked to the landscapes of Zaragoza, to their creators and authors, and / or their audiovisual professionals (actors, writers, producers, musicians, technicians ...).

Il XVI Film Festival: Childhood and Adolescence -2025, è un festival con spazi per la circolazione e la formazione audiovisiva per bambini, adolescenti e giovani, con mostre, attività ricreative, workshop, panel e discussioni, il cui obiettivo fondamentale è promuovere Bogotá, come città pioniera in America Latina in termini di infanzia e adolescenza visibile, protagonista e piena di diritti attraverso la costruzione audiovisiva.

La partecipazione è gratuita per l'esposizione e la circolazione di contenuti audiovisivi. Il Concorso si terrà dal 2 al 6 settembre 2025. I bambini e gli adolescenti avranno accesso a un programma audiovisivo composto da cortometraggi animati e di finzione nazionali e internazionali, serie televisive e alla categoria del «FESTICINE AWARD» che viene assegnato agli audiovisivi realizzati da bambini in Colombia. L'International New York Film Festival, (INYFF) è un festival di proiezione, premiazione e distribuzione.

Nel 2023 sono stati istituiti i DIAMOND GLOBE AWARDS. Un magnifico globo scintillante da 14 pollici che verrà assegnato al miglior film di ogni genere e sottogenere.

Inoltre, nel 2023 l'INYFF inizierà a trasmettere in streaming l'intero evento in tempo reale in tutto il mondo!

L'INYFF è diviso in due stagioni all'anno.

London Short Series è una celebrazione del potere narrativo di Internet. Unendo i media digitali e i mondi tecnologici, il festival offre una piattaforma per le serie web originali e contenuti digitali brevi, mentre i professionisti della produzione televisiva e cinematografica si riuniscono a Londra per questo evento annuale unico.

Parte di una rete mondiale di festival, London Short Series è un'opportunità per web series e digital content maker di unirsi per tre giorni per celebrare lo storytelling online. Background:
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The Global Goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve. Achieving all 169 targets would signal accomplishing all 17 goals. The Goals cover ecological, social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice. Localizing Global Goals: Story Begins at Home
The Global Goals provide an indicative agenda for sustainable development that is required to stimulate a series of collective actions to address areas of critical importance for humanity and the habitat. The Global Goals are a large, holistic and long-term set of goals, difficult to distil into simple and compelling messages.
While these Goals are global, their achievement will critically depend on our interest, intention, ability and resources to turn the global social contract based on pressing development commitments into a tangible reality in our homes, communities, neighborhoods, cities, regions, countries and so on. Consequentially, our immediate localities are the primary sites of the compliance of our commitments towards a universal development agenda. Therefore, the story of global goals begins at home and connects to the extended contours of universality. It becomes everyone’s business, leaving no one behind.
Locating Creative Communications: Awareness, Relatability and Reach
APFF believes that contextualization of meta-data is as much important for effective communication as much as localization of global goals are important for any meaningful delivery of development dividends. Policy makers have argued that, “we will only deliver on the SDGs if people know about the goals, demand action, and hold their leaders to their promises.”
From the communication perspective, delivery of development outcomes would largely be determined by the level of awareness, relatability, reach and influence towards global goals. Therefore, creative communications should be aimed at increasing awareness, explaining relatability, enhancing outreach and influencing investments towards Global Goals at immediate locality and beyond. Global Goals are a universal agenda, requiring progress at home and abroad. Experts have suggested that, “our communication should lead to developing political will, involving people to act for themselves locally, and aiming for the goals to become a universal reference guide.”
APFF is seeking to engage creative community of Asian region including passionate storytellers, filmmakers, writers, directors, actors, artists, musicians, singers, social media champions, multi-media creators to develop a communication mix on Global Goals.
Why a Film Festival on Global Goals?
Experience has shown that “the exposure one can get through film and digital content, whether it’s at a film festival, a local cinema screening, through online distribution or educational channels, is magnified compared to many traditional ways we try to impact change.” Festival exposure and awards often bring press attention, which is considered the best amplifier of messages.
A number of studies suggest that “to inspire change, people need to ‘feel’ your story.” Data, research, statistics and trend indicators are important. Data supports and drives decisions every day in what we do. But as they say data alone typically doesn’t reach the part of our brains which can reach complex issues, intuit connections, engage lateral thinking, or move one to action: the emotional brain. ‘Story’ speaks to our emotional brain. Experts suggest: “We have to change the way we communicate. All action is emotional, and in order to get an emotional connection we need to understand what it is.”
APFF considers filmmaking and cinematography as an effective medium of communication to understand, inform, inspire and generate an individual and collective will to act for behavioral and perceptual transformations. Through a thematic cinema, a diverse and larger audiences can be engaged on issues related to SDGs making a complex message simpler, communicative and inspirational. With the extended outreach of digital content, filmmaking has become an effective tool of communication which can be used to strengthen rights-based social movements and development discourses infusing a culture of transformation in societies plagued with hierarchical structures, policies and instruments.
Against this backdrop, APFF dedicates its Third Edition to the Global Goals encouraging film makers to tell stories of their own soil – narrate local stories to the global audiences and bridge the communication gap. Tell others what story you feel for. Lens your own story! You have a space to inspire, now.
APFF is aimed to celebrate 3rd Edition by encouraging production and organizing public screening of the selected Asian short films, documentaries, animations and music videos narrating the stories of struggle and transformations on any of the seventeen Global Goals. However, a particular focus would be laid on subthemes related to: ecological, social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.

FICVI, International Short Film Festival di Vila-seca è un festival incentrato sulla proiezione di cortometraggi.

È organizzato dall'Ente del Turismo di Vila-seca e collabora con l'Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España — Premios Goya come concorso di collaborazione nella preselezione di cortometraggi nelle categorie di finzione e animazione per i premi Goya.

La X edizione del FICVI, Vila-seca International Short Film Festival si terrà dal 17 al 26 ottobre 2025.

Il concorso internazionale che premia la migliore colonna sonora, e dunque il migliore compositore di musica per immagini, avrà come Gran Prix “LA VIOLETTA D’ORO”, fiore simbolo di Parma.

Oltre al primo premio – La Violetta d’Oro – seguirà la “Violetta d’Argento” al miglior film, le Menzioni d’Onore alla migliore Regia, alla migliore Fotografia, al migliore interprete, alla migliore sceneggiatura e al miglior cortometraggio.

Scopo dell’iniziativa è portare all’attenzione del pubblico non solo produzioni cinematografiche di buon livello e di recente produzione, ma anche di sottolineare il valore della scrittura musicale per il cinema come elemento essenziale di poetica e di riuscita del film stesso. Il concorso sarà inoltre un’occasione per cineasti e produttori di presentare il proprio lavoro ad un pubblico vario e ad una qualificata giuria internazionale.

Oltre alla sezione in concorso relativa ai lungometraggi, è inserita anche una sezione relativa ai cortometraggi che concorreranno per un premio apposito.

E’ ammessa al concorso ogni genere di produzione (film a soggetto, film musicale, drammatico, comico, storico, attuale, fiction televisive, film d’animazione) di ogni nazionalità, soggetto e durata.

SEZIONE SPECIALE: cortometraggi di DANZA. Una apposita giuria premierà il miglior video con il "DANCE AWARD".

La Cerimonia di Premiazione si terrà alla Casa della Musica di Parma il 21 settembre 2024 alle ore 17.00 con Cena di Gala alla quale saranno invitati tutti i referenti dei film in nomination.

La scadenza per l’iscrizione è il 15 giugno 2024.
