The IMF, now is through its 5th edition, has been established as a platform for showcasing innovative motion art videos, spanning from motion graphics, to 2D and 3D animation, video art, and shorts in the wider Mediterranean region.

The 5th International Motion Festival (IMF) will take place on 6 - 9 May 2019!

It is organized by the Department of Arts of the European University Cyprus in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The IMF aims to open a forum for the presentation of the most contemporary and most creative work in the world of motion and thus to be established as the Pioneering Festival that promotes innovative and cutting-edge work.

Sofia MENAR Film Festival rende il pubblico bulgaro familiarità con la cultura e le tradizioni del mondo islamico. Il programma del Sofia MENAR Film Festival presenta il meglio delle produzioni cinematografiche mediorientali e nordafricane, tra cui lungometraggi, documentari e progetti brevi. Un sacco di eventi di accompagnamento sono organizzati all'interno delle cornici del festival. Questi eventi sono particolarmente selezionati e legati ai paesi di questa regione, rappresentando le tradizioni e le usanze dei gruppi etnici che abitano le sue terre.
Il festival si tiene ogni anno a gennaio e si svolge contemporaneamente a Sofia e in altre principali città bulgare. MENAR è organizzato da «Pozor» come uno dei più grandi eventi culturali dei Balcani che rappresentano il mondo musulmano e le sue tradizioni.
Tra i registi i cui film sono stati presentati durante il festival figurano Abbas Kiarostami, Majid Majidi, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Ümit Ünal, Asghar Farhadi, Panahbarkhoda Rezaee, Hany Abu-Assad, Bahman Ghobadi, Reza Mir-Karimi, Eran Riklis, Derviş Zaim, Hüseyin Karabey, San Youssef, Nacer Khemir, Nadir Mokneche...
Sofia MENAR Film Festival continua la tradizione del «Flowers of the Qu`ran» Film Festival, organizzato 4 anni di distanza, dal 2009 al 2012 facendo conoscere al pubblico bulgaro più di 120 produzioni cinematografiche che portano lo spirito dell'Oriente.
Il termine MENAR, per «Regione del Medio Oriente e del Nord Africa», è un acronimo spesso usato per coprire una vasta area, che va dal Marocco all'Iran, compresa la maggior parte dei paesi del Medio Oriente e del Maghreb.

The Villamayor de Cine European Short Film Festival was born in 2008 in the charming village of Villamayor de Santiago, located in the province of Cuenca. Its main mission from the beginning has been to create a space where short films take center stage and young directors have a chance to shine.

Every August, the festival comes to life through the dedication of a team of over forty young professionals. Under the guidance of its founder, Javier Alonso, they work tirelessly to bring the best of European short cinema to Villamayor de Santiago.

Renowned Spanish actor Jesús Guzmán served as the festival’s Honorary President until his passing in 2023. In his memory, the award for Best Fiction Short Film now bears his name, keeping his legacy alive in the film world.

The festival is hosted by acclaimed actor and presenter Luis Mottola, whose professionalism and charisma add great value to the event. Mottola holds a special affection for Villamayor, and the town, in turn, holds him in high regard. @luismottola
