We took a break in summer, but we're back in Autumn. CURIOSA is the Monthly Short Film Showcase of Granada, Spain, screening film festival quality works, of any genre, from all over the world. We work in collaboration with La Variable, a multifunctional space in the heart of the city, where we showcase the selected works on the first Monday of every month.

The open call and the selection process are monthly.

CURIOSA accepts works from all over the world and in any genre. Our aim is to share this frequently overlooked format with our neighbours and the local public, while simultaneously creating a space to meet others and celebrate these works.

We recognise the most notable filmmakers by selecting the film of the month. This will then automatically be part of the official selection to the annual event that will be held in 2024. The award to the best short film of the year is yet to be announced.

READ VERY CAREFULLY

We are looking for works from all over the world and from any genre that meet the following criteria:

• IMPORTANT: screenplays are not accepted.

• Films must be under 30 minutes, including credits.

• All non-spanish speaking works must have Spanish subtitles, if applicable.

• Along with your submission, please add a cover letter indicating the genre of your film.

• We do not require a world premiere.

• We do not accept works in progress.

• CURIOSA DOES NOT offer refunds on submissions.
