We understand that from time to time you may wish to cancel a submission or request a refund due to theft or scam.
We have created this 1-day (24 hours from purchase) returns policy to enable you to cancel your submissions in appropriate circumstances.
You may request a refund due to theft or unauthorised access within 30 days following the date of purchase.
In order to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must:
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org explaining your case, along with the information of sale.
You may not cancel your submission once a festival has received your film.
You may not cancel your purchase of credits or passes once 24 hours have passed or if you have started using them before the 24 hours.
You may ask for a refund when your credit card has been stolen or when you have been made part of a scam, sending us a proof of theft by your country’s police or your bank’s testimony.
You may not cancel your ticket purchase once you have started viewing the material.
You may not cancel your ticket purchase once the ticket or material has expired.
You may not cancel your submission once 24 hours have passed since the submission or if festival has viewed your submission before the 24 hours.
We will send you a refund for the full price of any product properly cancelled by you in accordance with the terms of this returns policy. Applicable payment gateway fees may be refunded by the payment gateway.
Refunds for submissions will be credited to your account Wallet (Store Credit). When this is not possible, we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 90 days of the day we received your cancellation request.
Store Credit may not be refunded beyond the Refunds period through other means other than credit to other FESTHOME services, to be granted at the discretion of FESTHOME. FESTHOME retains the right to expire unused Store Credit after 5 years. This may be further reduced on inactive accounts that do not use the Store Credit in this period, but never under 12 months.
Where applicable, a festival may request the festival's entry fees to be paid through Festhome.
Any refunds of festival entry fees will have to be directly submitted to the festival, as all festival entry fees are governed by the festival's regulations.
In the case a festival is cancelled, refunds of festival entry fees must be submitted directly to the festival.
Festhome submits all festival entry fees directly to the festival, and may not refund them.
Festhome will however aid and coordinate with the festival and filmmaker should any refunds be claimed and Festhome's mediation is requested.
