FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CORTOMETRAJES
5ª edición del SEX EDUCATION FILM FESTIVAL, festival internacional de cortometrajes de educación sexual.

El Sex Education Film Festival nace en una época de controversia. En la que en las escuelas y en la sociedad en general se debate sobre si se debe recibir o no una educación sexual. El Sex Education Film Festival se compromete con la educación y tiene dos selecciones oficiales una para adultos y otra para jóvenes y así mostrada en centros escolares de secundaria.

En su quinta edición, el Festival hará hincapié en la creación de material didáctico tanto para el público escolar como para el adulto.

PREMIOS

A) TEENS EDUCATION Cortometrajes destinados a estudiantes de secundaria, a partir de 12 años.

Premio del jurado al mejor cortometraje documental, de ficción o animación. 500 euros

B) ADULTS EDUCATION Cortometrajes destinados a adultos, a partir de 18 años.

Premios del Público y Menciones Honoríficas: sin dotación económica.

Un premio puede quedar nulo si así lo estima el jurado.

Los premios están sujetos a los impuestos correspondientes.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Short films made from January 2019 can participate.

You can present any national or international short film that has sex education as its theme, both fiction, animation and documentary.

Each participant can submit more than one short film. Participation is free.

The works can be presented in any language, but they must always include subtitles in english and Spanish. It would be appreciated if subtitles in Catalan are also included.

The duration of the short films cannot exceed:

15 minutes in the case of fiction and animation short films.

20 minutes in the case of documentaries.

Short film registrations can be made from May 15, 2024 to August 31, 2024, both dates included.

The registration of short films will be done online through the Festhome platform, or via wetransfer to the email info@sexeducationfestival.com, as indicated at the end of these bases. The receipt of the material and the correct registration will be communicated to all participants by email.

The authors of the short films selected for the Official Selection must send a copy of the short film in high definition, two frames and, if available, a teaser in order to publish it on the Festival's official website. They must also include subtitles in english and Spanish. It would be appreciated if subtitles in Catalan are also included. The shipment will be made through the platforms or via Wetransfer to the email indicated by the festival organization:

The organization will publish the finalists on November 30, 2024.

The short films may not have content that disrespects any person, group or entity or that violates intellectual, privacy, image rights or any right that affects third parties.

The organization of the SEX EDUCATION FILM FESTIVAL declines any legal responsibility in relation to the short films presented to the Festival and in reference to their contents.

The participants guarantee that the short films do not violate any intellectual, industrial or exploitation rights.

The authors of the short films registered in the Festival cede the rights of public projection during the Festival.

The material received becomes part of the Festival archive.

The assignment of projection rights of the short films selected for the Official Selection and, therefore, included in the Official Program of the festival, will be understood for a period of one year from the date on which this edition of the festival ends.

The organization reserves the right to partially or totally use the short films in the Official Section, always without any commercial or lucrative purpose, for the promotion or dissemination of the festival. Likewise, it reserves the right to publish a trailer or a fragment of a maximum of 30 seconds of each short film in the Official Selection on the web and on social networks, with the same purpose.

None of the short films that have already been selected in previous editions will be admitted to the Official Section.
