The Independent Film Festival of Sogamoso - FECISO, celebrates its eighth version from November 1st to November 7th of 2024, "CINEMA FOR PEACE AND THE TERRITORY", a space for the different regional views of the national cinematographic context. The festival will be held in several towns of the Sugamuxi Province such as: Sogamoso, Tibasosa, Firavitoba, Iza and Nobsa, which will allow the development and creation of new audiences and the impact on communities with difficult access to the seventh art. Cinema with an environmental and peace focus is the bet for the eighth edition of FECISO. Therefore, the curatorial line is focused on highlighting the best works that deal with environmental issues and armed conflict in the territories.

Registration must be made only through the Festhome platform, between May 16 and August 19, 2024.

Registration fees:

- Free of charge for the National Competition, New Filmmakers Competition, Regional Competition, VR Competition, Videoclip Competition and Guaque del Sol Competition.

- 10 USD for the International Competition

Projects that are publicly available on the Internet will NOT be accepted. Video clips must not meet this requirement.

Works registered in previous editions of FECISO will NOT be accepted.

The same director or producer may register a maximum of one project per category.

For the selection process, the projects submitted must have Spanish subtitles if they are not spoken in Spanish. The filmmakers of the selected projects agree to deliver the subtitled exhibition copy in a timely manner, as the case may be.

-File weight: 2GB maximum
-subtitles: In Spanish embedded in case not spoken in this language


Selected works will be asked to send the following information via email through WeTransfer, Drive, FileMail or other storage platforms:

1. Projection copy of selected project, minimum resolution HD 1920X1080.

2. 3 images (frames / steady photo) of the project in 300 dpi resolution, JPG format.

3. 1 photo of the director in a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, JPG format.

4. Poster of the work in minimum resolution of 300 dpi, JPG format.

5. Trailer of the project in HD

6. Word document with: short synopsis, country, year of production, length, original language, director's profile, link to trailer, contact name and email.
