Rural FilmFest, member of Green Film Network (GFN) and Pantalla Federation, is an international itinerant film festival, which offers a current overview of international documentary film, fiction and animation in a short, medium and long format related to the rural world, ecology, sustainability and natural and cultural resources. Rural FilmFest is not a common film festival, it is a unique and unrepeatable event. It is a summer camp, with excursions, multi-adventure, geocaching awards ceremony (Yes, you read that right. As a filmmaker you will have to find your trophy at the closing gala via GPS coordinates), international coexistence, dance, party and lifelong friendships. It is the experience of your life and if you attend, you will not want it goes over and you will want to return next year... If you have a fiction film, animation or documentary whether it is a short film or a feature film, do not hesitate to submit.

An international film festival held in Birmingham, England, showcasing and recognising talent on a world stage.

It will run though November and include features, shorts, documentaries and music videos on our main theatre screen, as well support events with special guests.

All filmmakers who's work is being shown will 3 tickets for the screening of their own film.

Distributors, producers and press from all over the world will be on hand to view the films screened and there will be the chance to network with them at the festival too. Many of the industry’s top companies and film schools will also be in attendance offering advice on education and career opportunities.

Other events and networking opportunities will be announced closer to the date. These will include seminars, Q&As, conventions and memorabilia expos.

There will be a high calibre panel of special guest judges, from various areas of the industry, who will review the nominees’ entries and select the winners at the festival’s closing event. The award ceremony will be held at a high-profile venue in the city and be an open ticket event.

Angeles Documentaries is an international festival that celebrates one of the most difficult genre to produce : documentaries.

Documentaries request high level quality writing, an exceptional production coordination, and a smart budget management.

Our competition goes from quarter finals to winners, all of the tiles and directors to be listed on our website, every round of competition.

WHY THIS FESTIVAL ?

This festival is to be focused on this type of films. You will have specific recognition for the documentary you made, in a festival dedicated to documentaries.

Why is this so important ? Because sometimes, documentaries are just another category in some film festivals. We think documentaries deserve more attention, and we want to contribute giving it to them.

WHAT WILL BE OUR SELECTION ?

We will only select and screen short documentaries, not over 15 or 20 minutes maximum. If you made a full feature documentary, we will not be able to select it yet, but maybe in the years to come.

We are seeking for original documentaries, that can explore the world for us, bring some issues and analysis to the table, whether you shot it with a DSLR or a top 4K+ camera.

We accept all themes and langage. If not english speaking we require english subtitles.

A selection of the winners will screen on 2018, May 4th, in Los Angeles. The award give away will take place at the same time, on the evening.

The Medellín International Film Festival (FestMedallo) will celebrate its 2nd Edition from February 15 to 18, 2017 in Medellín, Colombia. This festival has as its mission to be a space for the projection and diffusion of films from all over the world; And is a platform for sponsors of the global film industry to select projects and directors to finance them. In its first edition 5 projects were chosen to be financed entirely by the private company. In addition, the Festmedallo is a showcase where personalities of Latin American cinema meet. For the second edition we have 6 venues where the selected films will be screened and we expect to have an audience of 7 thousand spectators.

The Music Video Underground is a monthly and annual worldwide competition for music videos, dance films, animated music videos, and other special stuff made music and video.
The festival is currently accepting submissions for its 13th edition (October 2017), and got hundreds of amazing artists to line up, including Adèle, Vanessa Paradis and Macy Gray.

The September edition is accepting entries (@12th edition) starting September 1st.

The next annual event and screening will take place in Los Angeles, on May 4th, 2018.

We select Music Videos and dance movies from all over the world and we screen it to give young artists both sides of the camera to be noticed for their talents.

OUR MOTO
The International Music Video Underground doesn’t require your music video to be perfect, or signed by a label, or managed by a production company. It requires you did it with all you had and put your heart into it. It requires you tell something with images and music.
Our goal is to screen new talents, people who don’t have the chance to be the son of an important someone, young artists that have to meet audience to grow, creators that want to show what they are capable of

Un Court Tournable ist eine Festivalveranstaltung für Kurzfilme, die darauf abzielt, ein Ort der Entdeckung neuer Talente im Bereich des Kinos zu sein.

Das Festival zeigt narrative und dokumentarische Spiel- und Kurzfilme, Musikvideos sowie Experimental- und Animationsfilme in wettbewerbsorientierten und nicht wettbewerbsorientierten Bereichen. Diese Veranstaltung wird durch Repertoire und Sondervorführungen ergänzt. Das 22. Cine Las Americas International Film Festival (CLAIFF22) fand vom 1. bis 5. Mai 2019 in Austin, Texas, statt. CLAIFF22 begrüßte nicht nur über 3.000 Zuschauer für Filme und Sonderveranstaltungen, sondern zeigte auch 114 Titel. Diese Auswahl repräsentierte die Teilnahme von 25 Ländern an der Produktion oder Koproduktion der Projekte, darunter Argentinien, Australien, Bolivien, Brasilien, Kanada, Chile, Kolumbien, Costa Rica, Kuba, Dominikanische Republik, Ecuador, Frankreich, Deutschland, Jordanien, Mexiko, Niederlande, Peru, Portugal, Katar, Spanien, Arabische Republik Syrien, Großbritannien, Uruguay, USA und Venezuela.

In den letzten 22 Jahren hat Cine Las Americas mehr als 2.600 Filme in Austin und bei verschiedenen Vorführungen im Bundesstaat Texas gezeigt und ist damit zu einer der renommiertesten lateinamerikanischen Filmorganisationen des Landes geworden. Cine Las Americas bleibt eine gemeindeorientierte Organisation, die vielfältige Möglichkeiten für Kultur, Bildung, berufliche Entwicklung und Unterhaltung bietet. Jedes Jahr bringt das Filmfestival eine Vielzahl internationaler Filme und Filmemacher nach Austin, bietet Netzwerkmöglichkeiten für Branchenfachleute und bietet den Teilnehmern ein reichhaltiges kulturelles Erlebnis.

The International Film Festival of the Caribbean Sea will celebrate its 2nd Edition from 10 to 15 January 2017 on the island of Margarita, Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. It is a festival to screen films of the world-wide cinematography, largometrajes and shorts, as well as video-clips.

Das Addis International Film Festival (AIFF) ist ein jährliches Filmfestival, das 2007 von der Initiative Africa ins Leben gerufen wurde und in Addis Abeba, Äthiopien, stattfindet. Das Festival ist das größte unabhängige Dokumentarfilmfestival in Afrika und wurde als einzigartige Initiative gegründet, die darauf abzielt, die Macht von Dokumentarfilmen zu nutzen, um innovative Wege zur Sensibilisierung für soziale Themen zu unterstützen.

Die 18. Ausgabe des Addis International Film Festival (AIFF). Als etablierte Sozialaktivistin Äthiopiens veranstaltet Initiative Africa vom 15. bis 19. Mai 2024 ein fünftägiges Dokumentarfilmfestival mit mehr als 30 lokalen und internationalen Filmen zu den Themen Aktion für Frieden, Sicherheit und Versöhnung, Gleichstellung der Geschlechter und Inklusivität, Ernährungs- und Umweltsicherheit sowie Gesundheitswesen, das in der Alliance Ethio-Française, dem Hager Fikir Theater, dem Goethe-Institut Äthiopien und dem italienischen Kulturinstitut in Addis Abeba.

Das Publikum des Festivals besteht hauptsächlich aus Jugendlichen und gebildeten Menschen, die den Mut haben, ihre Gesellschaft zu verändern. Wir zeigen die Filme kostenlos, ohne dass für den Eintritt eine Zahlung erforderlich ist.

Die Ausschreibungen werden für das Neum Animated Film Festival 2024 eingereicht.

Animationsfilme (Dauer 15 Minuten) können teilnehmen. Der Autor kann 3 Filme melden. Filme, die Rassismus und Pornografie propagieren, nehmen nicht am Wettbewerbsprogramm teil. Alle Anmeldungen müssen als Nächstes erfüllt sein: 1. HD-Datei von Film 2. Ausgefülltes und unterschriebenes Anmeldeformular 3. Fotografie und Biographie des Regisseurs 4. 3 Fotos aus dem Film (mindestens) 5. Erklärung des Autors, ob er bereit ist, während des Camps mit Kindern zu arbeiten.

Im Rahmen der 16. Ausgabe des Urban Films
Festival organisiert durch den Verein RStyle,
und findet in Paris statt, die vom 7. bis 10. Oktober 2021 stattfinden wird, startet der Verein seinen Aufruf zur Einreichung von Einsendungen bis zum 30. Juni 2021.

Was ist der urbane Film? :“ Filme, die der Stadt und allen Praktiken und Lebensweisen gewidmet sind, die daraus entstehen. Durch urbane Filme finden wahre Geschichten, ob düster oder lustig, ihren gemeinsamen Nenner in ihrer Landschaft: die Straße, von Seoul nach Rio, vorbei an Seattle oder Ouagadougou. Die urbanen Filme entdecken die Stadt im weitesten Sinne wieder: Geschichte, Tanz, Bewegung, Gemeinschaft, Straßenkulturen, Sport, alle Aspekte der Stadt und urbane Kulturen sind vertreten.“

ACME Comedy Theatre was founded in 1989 as a place for comedians to perform and be discovered. Since then, ACME has helped launch the career of hundreds of comedy writers, directors, producers, and actors.

Today, ACME continues to be a place for comedy performers and writers to be discovered. These days though, new talent is more often discovered through online videos, so ACME developed a new screening series. The screening series is dedicated to bringing the upcoming stars of comedy video to the big screen via ACME Comedy’s own film festival.

Kan-Kan Media is pleased to announce the second edition of “A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” Shanghai.

“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” is a unique film event that aims to bring together Chinese film and art institutions, film professionals, students and audience in Shanghai and create a platform to exchange and promote the diversity of the world cinema. During 10 days the festival will present more than 200 short films selected from more than 60 countries around the world.

“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS” Festival is the result of the collaboration between Kan-Kan Media and Chinese art and film institutions like Minsheng Museum of Contemporary Arts in Shanghai (official host of the Festival) and Shanghai Film Art Academy. It arises from the need to create a platform for a dialogue and exchange between film professionals, students, film communities and audiences taking as a reference point Shanghai/China.

The previous edition of LWSF was a huge success with more than 2000 submissions, 200 films selected and 10 days of film screenings, workshops, talks, music concerts and dance performances attended by 1000+ film-lovers, among them film professionals, students, film communities and artists of other disciplines.

This year the focus will be on the discovery of emerging talents both internationally and in China in order to bring them into the public spotlight and offer them the opportunities for networking and a platform where ideas and work can be exchanged among a new generation of film creators worldwide.

The festival has two main categories: International Section and Chinese Section, accompanied by showcases of outstanding festivals from various countries, as well as workshops, master-classes and other special events.

All the films meeting the submission criteria will be considered for the International Short Film Competition Award for Best Short Film, Best Director, Audience and Outstanding Story Award.

Shorts@Fringe is a showcase of short films at the Azores Fringe Festival, an international arts festival in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Program will happen in various islands from indoor to outdoor venues giving the opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work in the Azores and also for audiences that otherwise would not have a chance to see this type of work. All type of shorts are welcome from 1 min to 15 minute long of English or Portuguese language or subtitled in one of those languages.
