Since its creation in 2007, Île Courts–International Short Film Festival in Mauritius acts as a tool-kit for the development of cinema in Mauritius. Non-competitive, Île Courts Festival is meant to be a showcase for cinema in Mauritius, taking us to a surprizing journey into world cinema, with a focus given on short films from the Indian Ocean area, at a crossroad between Africa and Asia. In 2018, Île Courts invites french-speaking and creole-speaking Filmmakers from the Caribbean and Pacific Islands to submit their films to the festival, therefore 36 territories are concerned by our call for films. The 11th edition of Île Courts-International Short Film Festival in Mauritius will be held by Association Porteurs d'Images from 9th to 13th October 2018, in various cities and villages throughout the island.

Ab 2019 wird eine neue Nominierung „Für das beste Werk der angewandten Animation“ eingeführt, mit dem Ziel, neue Animationsformen einzuführen: Performances, interaktive Medienwerke, Anwendungen, Installationen, Werbung, Bildungswerke, Werke der virtuellen Realität. Ziel des Festivals ist es, die Vielfalt, Vielfalt und Perspektiven der Animation aufzuzeigen. Während des Festivals präsentieren wir Retrospektiven von Animationsmastern und organisieren Treffen mit Zuschauern, Animationsworkshops, Meisterkurse für Studenten und Branchenangestellte mit berühmten Animationskünstlern aus dem Ausland und Litauen.

Iron Mule ist die einzige monatliche Kurzkomödie New Yorks, die Erzähl-, Dokumentar-, Animations- und Experimentalkomödien aus aller Welt vorstellt. In unseren 15 Jahren haben wir mehr als 1.000 Filme vorgestellt, darunter frühe Arbeiten von vielen berühmten Filmemachern und Komikern wie Stephen Colbert, Seth Macfarlane, Lena Dunham, Aziz Ansari, Abbi Jacobson und Ilana Galzer.

Jede Vorführung zeigt einen Gastrichter aus der Welt des Films, der Komödie, des Fernsehens oder der New Yorker Kunstszene. Gastgeber Jay Stern und Victor Varnado Interview, die Filmemacher während der Show besuchen, gefolgt von einer Afterparty, in der Filmemacher und Zuschauer mischen können.

The Ruralia Festival will be held in the city of Chivilcoy, Argentina . It aims to disseminate and promote films and documentary with rural issues. Understanding rurality in a broad and inclusive sense as those complex, dynamic and heterogeneous ways of living , producing, occupy , imagine and experience the rural landscapes and environments.

FICAMS, Antarctica’s International Film Festival about Environment and Sustainability is a competitive festival that gives and teaches community members, through films, diverse views related to our habitat and culture. General themes of the audio-visual pieces are base on the environment, nature, sustainability, climate change, recycling, and renewable energy sources.

Audio-visual production are exhibited and discussion panels are held during the festival, hence promoting debate around socio - environmental realities from different places of the world, allowing us to learn about problems but also strategic solutions in tight relation to our local reality.

Taratsa is an independent international short film festival based in Thessaloniki, Greece. It began in August 2014, integrated in the framework of “Thessaloniki European Youth Capital”. Its purpose is to create a framework for the promotion of independent short films from Greece and all over the world -by bringing the audience closer to the production and establishing a place and time for the substantial interaction and artistic expression between the creators- as well as to present films that are considered benchmarks in the history of cinema.

HorrorQuest Film Festival is Atlanta's FREE Horror Film Festival. Held each year at Cinefest Film Theatre, located on the Georgia State University campus. All HorrorQuest screenings and events are free and open to the public on a first come, first served, basis. There are no advanced or VIP tickets.

The Central American Film Festival in Vienna has become a firmly rooted tradition, establishing itself as a key cultural event in the city.

The East Coast Film Festival is an independent film festival for lovers of independent film. The festival is based at the Savoy Hotel on the Lincolnshire coast. Entry for students and Linconshire based films & filmmakers is free! ( proof required )

All film genres are accepted at the East Coast Festival with a focus on low budget independent films. Selected Film makers are invited to attend the screenings and awards ceremony on 3rd September. The selected films will also have the opportunity to be included in The East Coast Anthology DVD compilation which will be available exclusively through the East Coast Film Festival website with all proceeds donated to Starlight Children's charity.

Darüber hinaus sind Schauspieler, Regisseure und Persönlichkeiten eingeladen, die an verschiedenen Foren und Aktivitäten von kultureller und kinematografischer Bedeutung teilnehmen. Einige der Künstler und Persönlichkeiten, die uns in den letzten Jahren besucht haben, sind: Paco León, Pablo Trapero, Martina Gusmán, Johnny Pacheco, Marlon Moreno, Manolo Cardona, Frank Perozo, Marianela Sinisterra, Jorge Alberti, Jacobo Morales, Denise Quiñones und Mirta Ibarra.
