We, as Global Indian Film Festival, have a fundamental belief that cinema is beautiful and storytelling is diversely serene. We are at the end of the second decade of the 21st century and we believe that its time that new age experimental story tellers and artists are given their rightfully deserved audience. Our aim through this festival is to reignite the love for cinema which has somewhere been blurred due to the commerce of the trade. After all, DADASAHEB PHALKE did not make the first Indian film, RAJA HARISHCHANDRA with the purpose of earning money. Passion is what drives us, and we are looking to meet and celebrate passion through the medium of cinema.
Welcoming talented film makers from India across the Globe to showcase their narratives, short films, feature films, documentaries, animation, of any genre, any length, any medium of shooting, to come forth and submit your films. If your work has merit and you have passion, we have a platform for you. This festival is a platform to provide an open environment for directors, writers, actors, technicians, film appreciation enthusiasts and anyone who has a zest for cinema. Let’s network and talk about cinema and also let’s vow to bring another new wave through our work.
We will provide a platform for the winning films, showcase it on national television for our channel, which reaches to 17 million viewers from across the country.

Star Film Fest is dedicated to films made by young authors all around the world. Clear, simple, lovely but also serious! For 8 consecutive years, we have been giving opportunities to young, and talented filmmakers to showcase their works on the projection screen. Through the categories like documentary, feature, experimental, animated, and student film, Star Film Fest provides affirmation to students of the Academy of dramatic arts and the Academy of fine arts, but also to any young person that wants to engage in film outside academic frame.
In addition to film screenings and competition programs, Star Film Fest is held at several ambient locations in Sisak, and with accompanying content such as exhibitions, film workshops, concerts, and discussions on current topics, the festival proudly spreads film art propaganda which for centuries brings growth and cultural development to Croatia and the world while also calling for critical thinking and openness.
As a festival organizator, Kino Klub Sisak is also the only gathering place for filmmakers in Sisak-moslavina county. The development of Star Film Fest showcases the necessity of decentralization of film culture and art in Croatia. Therefore, by promoting the culture of filmmaking, creativity and critical thinking along with creating and maintaining a much needed platform for self-realization of young filmmakers, Star Film Fest gets the mark of a festival that is oriented on the prosperity of new, fresh creators, and audiences.

The II International Conference Hybrid Aesthetics of the Moving Image: Identity and Heritage is a meeting place for the different disciplines involved in the study of new media, visual studies, aesthetics, identity and critical theory, as well as preservation strategies of the audiovisual medium.
It is an initiative of the MICIU R+D+i EShID Project: Estéticas híbridas de la imagen en movimiento. Videoarte español y dinámicas identitarias en el mapa global (2019-2021), focused on research, transfer and dissemination of audiovisual works made in our country from the ARES archive. Aesthetics, identities and audiovisual practices in Spain; as well as the research group Visu@ls. Visual culture and identity politics. After the first edition, held in November 2020 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Salamanca and focused on the theme of migration, globalization and interculturality, in 2021 the Universitat Politècnica de València will take over.
The meeting aims to generate critical thinking among researchers and professionals from different disciplines related to video art at an international level. Video art is understood as a resource capable of generating identity manifestations, as a medium that offers reproducibility, and at the same time questions the transmission of heritage because of its fragility and obsolescence. This broad panorama ranges from the production of imaginaries, such as the visualization of intimacy and gender roles through contemporary audiovisuals in the "image-world" we inhabit today, to the conflicts that arise in cultural and educational institutions when it comes to cataloguing and preserving the social memory of videographic practices. We could speak, then, of a dual nature of video art: one that directly affects the construction of identity that creates and projects collective imaginaries, and, on the other hand, a mediological identity that investigates the effects of technological innovations in the field of heritage.
Part of the congress will focus on discussing video art as a construction of identity, as a tool for inclusivity, analyzing the relationship between video and issues of indisputable social relevance such as feminism, sexual and gender diversity. The relationship between video art and the new instrumental strategies of conservation will be, therefore, the second major topic of debate of the congress, through which it is intended to establish a certain consensus that facilitates the decision-making process related to this type of works increasingly common in our institutions.
At the same time, an exhibition of video art works selected through this call will be held at the Josep Renau Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV.
