Kinopositive is a long-term project that creates a system for identifying and supporting young talents in the field of cinema and music, united by a common positive ideology. The main difference from other festivals is the involvement of film and music industry leaders in major film projects and collaborations. For example - the creation of a rare film product - a musical.
Dance-films are liquid. They flow between the categories of ‘dance’ and ‘film’. The camera reveals new aspects of the body, rhythm and movement to dancers. On the other hand, dance expands the meaning of ‘performance’ in film. The tensions in the hyphenation of the two have resulted in a new language capable of complex articulations.
'Manifest’ is the first dance-film festival in India that is onsite and is publishing an open call for submissions. Created by AuroApaar-an artist-run, non-profit arts centre in rural South India, this pioneering event aims to catalyse the explosion of the dance-film genre in India and intensify trans-national artistic dialogue.
Structure : 4 day offline event. Screenings will be followed by audience Q&A and interactions with artists.
The entries will be curated and viewing restricted to those who have registered for the event.
Where: Alliance Francaise de Pondicherry, India
What : fiction dance films excluding documentaries and recordings of performance.
The festival has an international character and all authors with films in compliance with other propositions can participate. Films selected for competition will be judged in two categories:
1. FILM RECIPE - a sort of documentary that should display complete image and/or text instructions for preparation of culinary creations (meals, drinks or deserts), including information about required ingredients and sequence of work. Based on those, after watching film one should be able to prepare the recipe.
2. OPEN CATEGORY - a film that should thematize or depict content related to food and/or drink.
Duration of individual films submitted is limited to 15 minutes.
FESOHCURT is, in its 7th edition, a reference within the short movie festivals, as it contributes to fostering the use of Valencian through cinema. Thus, at least 50% of the short movies selected for this edition will be in Valencian language (or any of its dialectal varieties).
A STEP TOWARD THE OSCARS

'Whenever I am obliged to lie with my eyes closed I see a cinematograph going on and on and it brings back to my memory things I had almost forgotten.’ - James Joyce.
Ireland’s most literary film festival is back for its fifth year! The film festival was set up as a celebration of cinema, literature, and artistic innovation, inspired by the long reaching arm of Ireland’s patriarch of modernism, James Joyce. The festival is run in partnership with the Bloomsday Festival & the James Joyce Centre and will run between the 11th - 16th June, with screenings taking place at the historic James Joyce Centre and the IFI, as well as Online.
Like last year, we will celebrate the birthday of W.B Yeats on the 13th of June with a selection of Poetry and Literature short films. On the 14th, in keeping with Joyce’s radical and experimental spirit, we will screen the best Experimental Films. On the 15th, the anniversary of the publications of Dubliners, we will dedicate to Dublin with screenings of Joycean short films and Dublin Short Stories. We will also have many more special events between the 11th - 16th, as well as on Bloomsday itself of course, the 16th, and will screen the feature films in the evenings.
We want to encourage artistic innovation within the medium, artists who do things their own way, and films that seek to push the craft forward, as Joyce did so greatly within his own craft of literature.

ORGANIZERS
Cultural Association Time & Memory organizes the thirteenth edition of the Short Film Festival called "SHORT TO SOUTH", to be held in Polla (SA)ITALY from the 21 - 22 June 2025 at the Auditorium "Holy Nicolicchio".
HARD:LINE International Film Festival aims to present the various faces of extreme cinema.
The question as to what is meant by the term “extreme” can be understood by looking at the content of our wide selection of fantastic films. “Extreme” is often defined by an explicit splatter aesthetic but it can also be represented by unusual story-telling methods or an exotic visual language. Thus, we are meticulously selecting such examples that could be important in the future of the genre. We have not set any boundaries in our search and whether a film is a pearl of the independent scene, fun splatter or no-brainer, H:LIFF loves special films!
HARD:LINE International Film Festival is no warehouse festival where the priority is to show as many films as possible but rather concentrates on presenting a few glowing examples of everything that extreme film can be.

The idea for the Radical Frame Film Festival started years ago when a group of Denver activists,
artists, and friends decided to bring the messages of video activist cinema into the public eye.
We feel that due to the current social and political climate, both locally and globally, our mission
-- to provide a forum for thought provoking films and debates -- is more critical than ever.
We are committed to presenting progressive, leftist, radical, anti-racist, experimental, and

social injustice, antiglobalization, etc...

The CINE AZUL FESTIVAL OF INTERNATIONAL CINEMA began as a showcase of environmentally themed films with a vision to advance public understanding of the environment through visual arts, challenging the way people think about nature, inspiring them to discuss and jointly explore different alternatives to become part of the solution on environmental issues.
The 10th International (environmental) “CINE AZUL” Film Festival “SURrealidades”, celebrates 20 years of walking in awareness and harmonization with the environment. Exhibiting, Circulating and contributing to the Formation of Audiences through Cinema committed to issues such as Climate Change, Food Sovereignty and Spiritual Crisis among others.
The Film Festival is environmental in nature, for this reason we consider that the implicit theme is already there, now we invite you to reflect in a sense from the different Parcelas (sections) of the Festival and it is from those Chagras where we develop a dialogue. To celebrate these 20 years of journey in our 10th version, we look at the Theme of PALABRAS MAYORES.
From the “CINE AZUL” perspective we observe this an ideal historical moment, to listen again to those ancestral words, those aboriginal languages, those uses and customs that maintained harmony and balance with their environment, with Mother Earth, with PachaMama, those words that spoke of prophecies that are fulfilling today.
After Ten editions in (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020) SURrealidades “CINE AZUL Festival” is now a consolidated biennial contest in Colombia breaking new ground in promoting the circulation, screen and production of the environmentally and human rights-themed International audiovisual.
