Films Inspiring Hope: The focus of the film should have a storyline in which the characters face a challenge, and find their way to become hopeful and overcome the incident. Character development is especially desirable in this film, and in some manner, the central charter offers the viewer inspiration.
Films of Encouragement: The underlying message of the film is meant to offer encouragement, uplift the viewer, and leave them feeling an increased sense of motivation.
Films Focused on Global Healing: There is a great disparity between countries and the availability of resources to address issues of health and wellness. Films in this category may provide insight to identify problematic areas, and remedies to address these concerns, and to support universal acceptance and love.
Women's Issues: Women are not only a resource of nurturance, but accomplish remarkable achievements either individually, as a part of a family, or within their community. Maintaining life-Balance is frequently a struggle because of the multiplicity of demands placed on women. Social position and status can look different within the context of various cultures. Films in this category are meant to explore female empowerment and bring insight and increased understanding of the roles women place within their culture.
Men’s Issues: The role of men in cultures throughout the world has been undergoing changes. This can lead to confusion and feelings of insecurity. Modern men may stay at home and care for the children, or they may continue to function in traditional roles. Film submissions about men’s issues are encouraged to address the ways in which men come to understand their emotions, become comfortable with the expression of emotion, and how they connect in significant relationships.
Spirituality: Religious practice is not necessarily the same as spiritual practice; however, both or either can play an important role in our health and well-being. Films that focus on spiritual development, our relationship to ourselves and others within this realm, and how we contribute to the world through spiritual practice would be of interest in this film category.
Social Issues, Resilience & Sustainability: In every culture, there are issues of social injustice, conflict, and social differences, which can affect human or animal existence and the ability to maintain resilience. It is frequently not enough to be resilient because multiple losses can occur, we must instead focus on our ability to sustain resilience. Films that speak to how we might address social concerns that involve the depletion of social, emotional, environmental, or financial resources are welcome in this category.
Best Instrumental Score: Music scores may be from any genre, and the music should evoke visual imagery, and heightened imagination.
Best Original Song: All genres are accepted and will be evaluated based on the quality of performance and production.

Notification of the PG-13 label will be announced at film festival events so that individuals sensitive to language, or who have children or adolescents with them can determine how to make an intelligent decision about viewing.

International Film Festival "Prvi kadar"/First Frame is an important film event in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose mission is to promote film art of authors from all over the world. The Festival is of competitive character neither. Films compete in two categories: documentary and short films.

Lowell, Massachusetts is gearing up for the premiere of its newest international short film festival, "Dare to Imag9ne." Set to take place on August 26th at the Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Center, the festival is set to showcase a wide range of films from around the world.
The inaugural edition of the festival will showcase a diverse range of films from various countries, with a focus on highlighting the work of emerging filmmakers as well as established ones.

The Dystopia, film and environment festival of the Murcia region is a project that aims to disseminate, serve as a reference and raise awareness about environmental cinema, as well as support and disseminate both national and international productions on this subject.
The 3rd International Film Festival on Aging: Glimpses Through Time is a university initiative organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Aging (CIEn) at the University of the Republic, with support from the Center for Critical Studies in Contemporary Culture (CECRITICC) at the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Mexico. It involves collaboration with various universities in the region and government agencies related to older adults from different countries.
The Festival aims to draw attention to themes related to aging and old age as part of our vital and socio-historical time. We start from a paradigm that considers that the images and representations of older adults—including those in audiovisual productions—affect how we live in relation to aging, how we perceive ourselves as aging individuals, and how we interact with older adults. We believe that the construction of collective spaces to think about aging process can contribute to build non-stigmatized social representations.
We invite you to make or present short films that, through their narratives, characters, and/or language, contribute to exploring, understanding, and/or portraying aspects of aging on individuals, populations, institutions, etc., and/or intergenerational relationships.
Florence Short Film Festival is an event dedicated to short films.
Born as a limelight for young independent directors, it quickly established itself as an international festival, counting among its guests and jurors great personalities from the world of academicism and film criticism, as well as renowned actors, dubbers and producers. Every year hundreds of directors from all over the world have submitted their works to be selected and run for the three categories of “Fiction”, “Animation” and “Documentary”, and thus compete for the Jury Prize (with cash prize) and for the Audience Award.

Animacción is an international festival of animated short films, aimed to bring attention to the artistic potential of a whole new generation of animators.
Organized by the cultural association "Ánimas Anónimas", the festival returns this year for its 7th edition.
The call arises from our desire to increase the cultural offer of the city of A Coruña and its region, offering a sample of an artistic discipline with great creative potential, known worldwide, but little spread (me suena menos científico que disseminated xD) and supported locally.

The Eighth Kunta Kinte International Afro Community Film Festival, which will take place from August 28 to September 1, 2024, will focus on the theme of "AFRO DIASPORA". Remember that each production will be reviewed by our curatorial team; you have until July 31, 2024 to register.
