FICCON, Constitución International Film Festival, is an event that seeks to enhance the Maula audiovisual field and turn the region into an audiovisual cultural pole with great projections in the medium and long term.

It is a space that brings together independent productions at a local, Latin American and international level, it stands out for promoting encounter, discussion and cultural exchange in the field of independent film productions and seeks to highlight regional productions. Likewise, it encourages audiovisual experimentation and maintains its commitment to strengthening the development and training of filmmakers and viewers by offering seminars, workshops and talks.

The second edition of FICCON will take place from October 22 to 26, 2024, with 12 spaces in the Maule region, in addition to the support of the network of movie theaters and will have its special online window, adapting to the current panorama where many people accesses content through platforms, without giving up the importance of keeping exhibition spaces active and reflecting on their relevance.

The programming will include short films adapted with sign language, regional, national and international short film competition, screening of national and Latin American films and talks, interviews, special sections and a retrospective of films performed by a Chilean actor to whom we want to pay tribute to his trajectory.

1- CONDITIONS
The 2nd Constitución International Film Festival will be held from the 22nd to the 26th of October in the Maule Region, with its epicenter in the commune of Constitución. Will be able participate Documentary, fiction, animation short films made after January 1, 2022.

1.1. -STAKE.
The producer or director must register their short film from April 25 to July 31, 2024. Each producer or director may only register 1 short film in each category (fiction, animation and documentary). Short films must have a maximum duration of 25 minutes.

2- SELECTION
The Selection Committee will be made up of members of FICCON who will carry out the selection applying the concepts established by the festival management, always encouraging the promotion and participation of independent productions. In the event that the work is selected, it will be notified until a maximum deadline of September 25 to confirm your participation.

3- TRANSLATIONS
Short films that are not in Spanish will be shown with subtitles. If the filmmakers have a version subtitled in Spanish or english, they will be requested. Otherwise, the selection committee leaves the work out of competition.

4-JURIES
The jury for each category will be made up of specialized professionals for each section and outside the organization of the festival. People who have interests in its production or who have interests in the selected short films themselves will not participate in the jury.

5 – PROMOTION
Those responsible for the selected short films, once notified of their selection, undertake to send all the material that allows for press. And from FICCON they will receive the “FICCON Official Selection” laurel along with the festival logo.

6-DIGITAL SAMPLE
The selected short films may be included for the duration of the festival, even a few days later, on a digital platform so that audiences outside the Maule region can access their works.

7- COMMITMENT
Sending short films implies knowledge of the aforementioned points and full acceptance of them. Once registered and selected, the film cannot be removed from the programming of the second edition of FICCON
