Moscow Indie Film Festival is easily one of the most filmmaker friendly independent film festivals screenings in a major entertainment city anywhere in the world. We know how painstakingly difficult it is to make a movie. Moscow Indie Film Festival is about helping independent filmmakers gain the credibility and promotion they justly deserve. In the 2024 edition of the Quibdó Africa Film Festival, we delve into a unique and vibrant space where Africa and its Diaspora converge. This festival is more than just a series of film screenings – it's a comprehensive cultural experience featuring workshops, conferences, and artistic exhibitions. It's an odyssey that traverses the realms of the unknown, journeying through time – from past to present and into the future. This event is not just about showcasing films; it's about exploring a space that embodies both memory and representation, a space that prompts us to reflect on our history and the myriad ways we have evolved.
The 2024 festival is set to be a grand assembly of avant-garde Afro filmmakers, representing a dynamic artistic and cultural movement that boldly reimagines new identities through the fusion of art and historical fantasy. These creators engage in a vibrant dialogue within this artistic whirlwind, challenging and redefining conventional narratives.
At the heart of our vision for 2024 is the concept of "afrodisruptive" cinema. This genre is meant to startle and challenge, to be potent, impactful, and unsettling. It aims to disrupt the tranquility of the status quo, upending and reinvigorating it. This revolutionary artistic concept spans 360 degrees, offering a critical reexamination and reinterpretation of African traditions and narratives.
In essence, the Quibdó Africa Film Festival 2024 is not just an event; it's a cultural revolution, a reawakening of perspectives, and a celebration of the relentless spirit of Afro cinema and artistry.

This international meeting, already a classic in Punta del Este, has some peculiarities that distinguish it from other Jewish Film Festivals in the world, due to the fact that it takes place in such a special seaside resort as Punta del Este, a meeting point where communities from different countries gather annually in Uruguay.
The Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine Judío de Uruguay, FICJU®) was born in 2003, with the purpose of generating a cultural, educational, didactic and illustrative space, oriented to promote the knowledge of the history of the Jewish people and its diverse cultures and traditions, thus seeking to strengthen our identity and integration through art.
Fiction films and documentaries with different perspectives of the Jewish theme are shown, spaces are organized for the analysis and reflection of the history, customs and cultures of our people around the world, and the memory of the Shoa (Holocaust) is constantly maintained.
We discover new aspects of our heritage and identity, as well as learn about the current conditions of the different Jewish communities around the world, fostering the integration of all Jewish people through the knowledge of our shared essence.
Thanks to the above, the Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival becomes a focus of tourist attraction, with an average of 2,500 attendees.
The Sorihuela del Gualadlimar Film Festival is the First Festival to be held in the County Region of the province of Jaén, which means that it already has a privileged position in the Jaén film scene. This paradise is an unknown place for many filmmakers who, upon discovering its landscapes, its streets or its people and in general all the opportunities it offers them, will choose this wonderful corner of Jaén to make their stories come true and see them on the big screen.
At the same time, we bring culture closer to its citizens so that they experience cinema, give their opinions about cinema and be a jury of the cinema that they are going to see, since one of the prizes will be the "audience prize", which will be awarded through voting. of those attending each session of the Festival, to the short film with the highest score.
One of our objectives is to show the great work that is done at a national level with the short film format and to make these filmmakers coexist with the province of Jaén.
