The festival will take place from November 10 to 15, 2026, showcasing short films ranging from 1 to 15 minutes in length. International submissions must include subtitle files (.srt) in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
The program will feature 10 competitive sections: Mostra Madame Satã (Rio de Janeiro Showcase), Mostra Lapa Docs (Documentaries), Mostra Cores da Lapa (LGBTQIAPN+), Mostra Arcos da Lapa (International), Mostra Lapa Boêmia (Brazilian), Mostra Caramujo (Experimental / Fringe Cinema), Mostra Lapa Tupinambá (Indigenous Peoples), Mostra Sustos na Lapa (Horror), Mostra Lapa Animada (Animation), and Mostra Lapa Senzala (Black Filmmakers).
All selected films will compete within their respective sections, with awards decided by the Audience Jury. In addition, a Technical Jury will grant awards in categories such as Best Director, Cinematography, Screenplay, Sound Design, Actor, Actress, among others, recognizing both artistic and technical excellence.
